DIRECT PAYMENTS

Direct Payments represent the largest share of payouts determined for subsidies in agricultural sector. They are provided in accordance with rules of the EU Common Agricultural Policy. Direct Payments for the period of 2015-2020 are focused primarily on considerate access to the environment via Greening regime, generational demographic changes in the countryside through subsidies for young farmers and the support of sectors and/or regions facing particular difficulties or representing very important locations from an economic, social or environmental point of view. The applicant has to be an agricultural entrepreneur, active farmer and has to cultivate the agricultural land which is registered in LPIS register of agricultural land based on user relations – these are the main criteria for obtaining a subsidy.
