AXIX IV

The main objective of AXIS IV is to implement local development strategies under the “Leader Strategic Plan” and promote cooperation among local partnerships. In particular, Leader Strategic Plan principles offer effective rural development methodology by interconnecting various partners’ activities to make the development of rural areas more effective. Local Action Groups (LAGs) give broad swaths of the population a chance to be involved in local decision-making on numerous local rural development issues and on the concerns and individual interests of inhabitants. The principles of the Leader Strategic Plan are not intended as an antagonist form of local self-administration. On the contrary, LAG activities complement local public administration and contribute to renewed and improved quality of life in municipalities and to the development of the agricultural sector and landscape management.
